It took me awhile to read this, but finally got around to it like I said I would. :) I know a lot of females will be offended to the multiple reactions men can have whn they first hear the news, but the majority of them probably felt the same way. My daughter is one of the best things in my life, other than her father. Yet if I were to say I was enthusiastic and excited when I saw those two lines appear, I'd be lying. Darmarcus and I had only officially been together 5 months when we found out I was pregnant. We were already living together and had a stable relationship, but even the most stable things can't break when completely blindsighted by a life-changing event. Daddy made himself a rum and coke, while I went to a friend's house to let reality sink in. The idea of abortion/adoption never crossed either of our minds, but money definitely did. I was currently unemployed, so we were already two people living off one salary. Adding a baby to the mix was going to impact this more than we knew. Like I said before no one is ever at the right place in their life financially to have a baby; prince or pauper. But the one thing we knew was we had eachother. Without his support it would have been a much harder road for me. So I applaud those men who may not have the best relationship with their children's mothers, but are still aware of their responsibilities (i know what hell a pregnant woman can be).

I know one day you will make a great father because you know what it is to be a man. That is something not many people these days can sayJuelznoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4608185603766994525.post-73779074776388000832009-06-14T16:34:17.388-04:002009-06-14T16:34:17.388-04:00Man I gotta tell you, i thought I had a way with w...Man I gotta tell you, i thought I had a way with words, but I have a lot of work to do! I have to thank you man. You have given people an opportunity here to take a look into the workings of your mind, and share you're world with us. It is refreshing, and particularly of meaning to me because I get to see a different side of my... biggest role model- who has that position for reasons that I knew existed, but are reenforced with every addition to this blog. When I read this, I don't feel the urge to talk, or even agree... I just read. I'll frequently reread sentances before moving on, and at the conclusion of a piece feel like I have gained knowledge and am more of a well-rounded man. Thanks Marcus, keep it em comming...Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16118372824590555699noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4608185603766994525.post-59960668641465395712009-05-09T17:07:00.000-04:002009-05-09T17:07:00.000-04:00Hey dude truly awesome. I read it the day u posted it, but I've been trying to think of an adjective that would best describe how I feel you on this, but I still have yet to find one!!! Just saying it was awesome, tight-lol, reaLly good, fantastic are all under statements, I'm really not trying to blow up your head or nothing, eventhough it is huge lol.... I really loved how you were man enough to address this topic and to let us into your mind like you did. It is major issue in the 'world' that more affluential people should address, but of course they don't!!! It's ironic becuase we were discussing this at work the other day and I found an article you should read, imma e-mail to you, it touches on exactly what you were talking about. I love this saying "great minds think alike," so true. You gotta alot to share, keep it coming baybaybay.......
As always, i just luv it!!!!!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07040031074720927626noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4608185603766994525.post-1156776794694602292009-04-30T17:42:00.000-04:002009-04-30T17:42:00.000-04:00Wow...this is my first time reading one of your bl...Wow...this is my first time reading one of your blogs...just wanted to see what you had to say on a subject that I feel very strongly about. I saw some of the same issues with one of my pregnancy, but at the end of the day, I wouldn't care if he was there or not (i would never make that decision for him) I love my daughter and wouldn't change a thing about her or what I went through before, during or after her birth.
Robbyn BankzROBBYN BANKZhttp://twitter.com/robbynbankznoreply@blogger.com
